Fossil Brewing Company was founded in April 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO, by five friends who are crazy about craft beer. In 2015, our name changed to Fossil Craft Beer Company. At Fossil Craft Beer Company, we find inspiration in our community as well as Colorado's rich history - a history that dates all the way back to the dinosaurs. We strive to support the local community whenever possible. We used a local manufacturer to make our brewhouse and are committed to use local vendors whenever possible.
We're conveniently located within walking distance from Old Colorado City and Red Rock Open Space, just a short drive from Manitou Springs.
Here's are some highlights about the staff:
Katrina has many years' experience managing education programs at a local non-profit organization She and her husband Rich are busy with their toddler, Penelope. Katrina's favorite beer season is fall so she can't wait for pumpkin beer to hit shelves.
Rich works by day as a Project Engineer for a General Contractor. He started home brewing in 1997 with his brother, right here in Colorado Springs. Rich is also busy chasing his toddler Penelope (see above) and he loves a good Baltic porter and milk stouts
Josh, started home brewing in college, he spent some time with Saint Arnold Brewing Company in Houston before relocating to his wife's (Megan) hometown of Colorado Springs. Most often you can find a Belgian or IPA in his hand.
Megan, a Colorado Springs native, is an environmental scientist by day and is responsible for creating the graphics for Fossil as well as helping out around the brewery as needed. She enjoys spending her free time hiking and exploring with Josh and their dogs Bo and Tilly. Megan loves a good hoppy IPA.
